Campus Journalism Workshop Training

Four alumni members from batches 2010 and 2011 shared knowledge on campus journalism, ethics, and career opportunities at this year’s Campus Journalism Workshop (CJW) Training at the Luis Beltran Newsroom, July 23.

Nephele Fabiola Kirong, Philippine Information Office writer and former Academic Committee Head; Franz de la Fuente, Business World reporter; Jenina Borromeo, former Alumni Relations Committee Head; Christine Joy Sarmiento, former UPJC President and Mulat Pinoy community manager; Ernica de Guzman, Probe Media Foundation, Inc. consultant and writer; Ranel Ram Cheng, incumbent Vice President for Publicity; and Kim Carbon, former Vice-President for Internal Affairs, lectured on ethics, opinion writing, feature writing, layout and copyediting, news writing, sports writing, and career orientation, respectively.

Organized by the Academic Affairs Committee, the event was also attended by some of the organization’s applicants.

Completing the CJW Training is a prerequisite before any member can teach in the actual CJWs held at different elementary and high schools in the country.
