The UP College of Mass Communication (CMC) Freshies, Shiftees, and Transferees (FST) Council, together with the UP CMC Student Council (CMCSC), is set to hold the annual FST Month this August to September 2024.
Themed “Pamilyang Maskom,” the month-long event aims to welcome the latest batch of CMC freshies, shiftees and transferees and empower them to become active members of the Maskom community.
The month-long celebration will feature the following various interactive events and activities:
- Maskom Tour, FST Acquaintance Gathering and Educational Discussion Fest on Aug. 12
- CMC Freshie Welcome Assembly and Org Fair on Aug. 24
- FST Cup and FST Month Culmination on Aug. 30
- FST Elections starting Sept. 6
The FST Month will also include specific campaigns and discussions to raise awareness on socio-political issues, equipping the new FSTs with the knowledge and conviction to face social challenges and advocate for social justice.
